About Rotaract

  Types of Rotaract Clubs

There are two types of Rotaract Clubs:

a) Community based.
These are Rotaract clubs that are not tied to a college or a university but rather are tied to a community. Membership is open to anyone 18 to 30 years old.  There is a proposed Greater Rochester Rotaract Club. If you are interested in information in this club please use the 'E-mail' link on this site and we will contact you.

b) College or University type clubs.
These clubs are on campuses at many colleges and universities. Membership is open to anyone attending the college or university.
In District 7120, clubs exist at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Keuka College, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Brockport, University of Rochester, and Elmira College.

If you are presently an Interact member and would be interested in continuing in Rotary supported community service projects while in college or working in the community, please contact District 7120 Rotaract Chair. If a club exists in the community you are in or in the college you will be attending we will pass the information on to that club. If no club exists we will contact you to see if you would be interested in helping to get a club formed.

District 7120 wants to play a leading role in improving communication among Rotaract clubs in the district and with Rotary International (RI). The district wants to promote and publicize the Rotaract program and encourage Rotaract activities related to the annual RI theme.
