EMPIRE STATE MULTI-DISTRICT PETS

March 12-13, 2010

Double Tree Hotel

6301 State Route 298

East Syracuse, New York

315-432-0200

PETS (Presidents-Elect Training Seminar) is a day-and-a-half training program whose purpose is to prepare incoming club presidents for their role in club leadership and administration.

The Multi-District PETS program brings together leaders and presidents-elect from several districts to broaden the perspective of Rotary and to share experiences from a wide variety of clubs and geographical locations.

The Empire State Multi-District PETS program includes presidents-elect from Districts 7120 (Rochester), 7150 (Syracuse), 7170 (Binghamton) and 7190 (Albany).

The president-elect must attend the district PETS and the District Assembly unless excused by the governor-elect.  If so excused, the president-elect shall send a designated club representative who shall report back to the president-elect.   If not excused and no designated representative attends PETS, the president-elect shall not be able to serve as club president (Manual of Procedure 2004, Article 9c, page 242). It is recommended that the expenses of the incoming club president be paid by his/her club.

Priorities for the Week-end:

   1. Get to know some more dedicated Rotarians

   2. Share ideas from Rotary experiences

   3. Learn more about Rotary beyond one's community

   4. Set some appropriate goals and plans for one's club

   5. Get excited about what Rotarians can accomplish
