The Pork Industry - More Than Just The Other White Meat.

The 12-minute presentation will cover:

-What¹s going on in the food and pork business in your area.

-Trends in the local farm economy that affect jobs and economic development.

-How U.S. Producers have become the world's largest pork exporter and what that means to your local economy.

Without a doubt, the pork industry and the farmers involved are major contributors to the state's economy -- affecting everything from employment and cash crops to taxes. This informational discussion will allow your members to learn more about how the industry is changing and what it means to them.

I hope you find this a topic of interest for local Rotary Clubs. If you have questions, please don¹t hesitate to call me at 800-711-0747 or e-mail me at barbara@eidsonandpartners.com.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

*Medical insurance options that can be affordable or free.

*Medicare/Medicaid questions and answers.

*Free and reduced food costs.

*Plus many other emergency needs.

I have been using this material for the last 3 years, always updating, to assist individuals.

Honor Flight for WWII Veterans

I recently became involved with Honor Flight Rochester, which is a group honoring our World War II Veterans.  The goal of this group is to fly WWII veterans to Washington DC to visit the WWII Memorial, erected in their honor.  There is no cost to the veterans for participating in this program. Guardians fly with the vets as needed and they pay a portion of the $450 cost to fly to Washington, tour the memorial, and stay for 1 night in a nearby hotel.

Honor Flight is a national organization and the Rochester hub was established in 2007. Honor Flight Rochester took 50+ vets earlier this month and has a 2nd flight scheduled for June 20th.  (I will be traveling on the June flight with my father.) Vince Hope, the founder of the local chapter, and I recently spoke at the Clifton Springs Club and Newark had a speaker earlier this year.  If Im not available, there are other speakers ready to spread the word about this program.

There is an urgent need to get the word out on this program due to the fact that WWII veterans are dying at an incredible rate, thus depleting the pool of potential eligible veterans.

I would be happy to assist any club with securing a speaker for their meeting.

The  cost to send a Veteran is $450. and the donations are not knowing accepted from Vets

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Ed Dundas

Family Love Letter Rotary Program‏

My Name is Glen Cone and I am a member of the Ontario-Walworth Rotary Club. I am offering this program to any Rotary Club within the District. One of my duties here with AXA Advisors is to inform and educate on financial & estate planning topics.

This 1st class program is available to all Clubs in District 7120.  It's 20 -30 minutes in length, is informational only (no selling), and includes 1 free take home booklet for everyone

Below is a brief description of what I am offering.

The love letter is addressed to children, sisters, brothers, and grandchildren.

It's a Family Love Letter and its contents communicate a person's legacy Although its not a legal document, it does serve as one central location to pull together vital information in a time of need.
A place to keep everything from wills to key contact information for lawyers and accountants to insurance policies to statements of ethics to funeral requests

By pulling these important documents together and leaving details in one place - email passwords, codes to the safe, ect - people are getting their
house in order for the good of those they care about the most. Once the letters (booklets) are complete, people are encouraged to sit down with their families
along with their trusted financial advisor, and work through the information.

A lasting and important gift of vital information - financial and otherwise, loved ones need to know in case of sudden incapacitation or death.

Preprinted invitations with envelopes are available to make it a special occasion for your Club.

You can contact me by calling 585-727-7806 or E-mailing me at Glen.Cone@axa-advisors.com

Work Injury Prevention Program:

I am a Program Leader for Duffy Rath Systems, headquartered in Syracuse, NY. We have been developing and conducting Work Injury Prevention Programs for companies throughout the US and Canada for the past 25 years. Our clients include Carrier Air Conditioning, Lockheed Martin, Johnson & Johnson, and Honeywell.

While our services are of specific interest to companies looking to save money on health care costs generally, and Workers Compensation costs in particular, the focus of this presentation is on what people can do themselves to avoid or Self-Manage the particular mechanical disorders we see in our work (e.g., Neck and Back pain; Carpal Tunnel; Tennis Elbow; Rotator Cuff; Plantar Fascitis aka "Heel Spurs"; Hip, Knee and Ankle disorders, etc.). This information is something everyone should know about their body, and which I am offering as a community service through organizations such as yours.

To give you some idea of the effectiveness of the information I propose to present, we document up to 81% reduction in Recordable Injuries in Year 1 of our programs, and up to 75% reduction in over-all Worker’s Compensation Costs by year 2. This information is state-of-the-art on a world-wide standard, yet is remarkably simple to understand and utilize.

I propose a presentation to your group that is both informative and very engaging, and can be adjusted to run from 15 minutes to over an hour, depending on time and facilities available. I have a powerpoint presentation available so I will need a projector and screen. If these items are not available please let me know and I can bring handouts for the members.

For any Rotary Clubs in the Counties of Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben:

My name is Joe Ponzi and I am a Rotarian belonging to the Elmira Club.  I have a program about our agency that I would like to present to the Rotary Clubs in the counties of Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben.  My program has to do with STAVI (The Southern Tier Association for the Visually Impaired).  STAVI is a not for profit organization whose mission is to provide assistance to individuals who are blind or visually impaired through services and employment opportunities.  We operate 2 low vision clinics, 1 each located in Chemung and Steuben Counties.  I would like the members to know of the services available through our agency and to educate about low vision and the ways in which people can be rehabilitated.  Could you please put this on the District 7120 Website and alert the clubs that this program is available?
