Mike joined Irondequoit Rotary in February of 1997. He served in various leadership positions within his club and served as President in 2001-02. During his Presidency his club earned a Presidential Citation from Rotary International. Michael is a Paul Harris Fellow, and a sustaining member and benefactor of the Rotary Foundation.
On the district level Mike served as the Polio Eradication Chair for Area X in 2002-2003 and thereafter served three terms as Assistant Governor. Mike, along with DG Jim Holden, participated in Rotary International’s National Immunization Days in Nigeria in October of 2002, in which he had the honor of immunizing over 1000 children and helped to raise awareness of the necessity to wipe out this dreaded disease.
Mike is a partner in the law firm of Harris, Chesworth, O’Brien, Johnstone, Welch & Leone LLP. Mike’s work for the firm is primarily in the areas of litigation, estate planning and municipal law. He is a graduate of SUNY Brockport and SUNY Buffalo School of Law.
Mike has three active boys, Christopher, Nicholas and Michael.
