Purpose:

The Adopt-A-Class Program is an agreement between a Rotary Club and a school class to cooperate in an effort to establish a meaningful, post educational relationship with the students and Rotary members. Specific projects vary with each club and the needs of the school class.

Intent:

Establish and foster the ideals of Rotary through interaction with young people. Creating an awareness of Rotary as a community organization that has specific benefits to them, their community and the world. We need to demonstrate the positive value of Rotary and create an impression of the worth of being a Rotarian.  Through the Adopt-a-Class Program, Rotarians serve their communities by sharing their vocational expertise.

Examples of Programs:

  • Individual mentoring, Rotarian to student
  • Occupational talks and demonstrations
  • Establishing and/or helping with a school or community service project
  • Plant a tree program
  • Discuss ethics in school, business and life
  • Reading programs
